Quang Tri’s Department of Science and Technology combined with Da Nang’s University of Technology to implement project "Application of solar energy equipment in rural and mountainous areas in Quang Tri”. Its total costs 250 million VND.

Accordingly, the province has 80 households in rural and mountainous areas that were equipped 60 kitchens using  parallelepiped solar energy and 20 parabolic kitchens using solar energy as well as hot water system .

Research project has developed effectively that helps people in rural and mountainous areas in Quang Tri to save fuel, use the solar energy for cooking and protect environment.
